UGANDA PRIMATES AND BIRDS – 11 days, 10 nights
DAY 01 and DAY 02
We travel by road to Lake Mburo NP (3 hrs). The park comprises mixed thorn bush savanna as well as aquatic habitats around the lake and its papyrus fringes.
Birds to be seen would include:
Black-collared, Red-fronted & Spot-flanked Barbet, Bateleur, Brubru, Red-tailed Chat, Long-tailed & Wing-snapping Cisticolas, Black Cuckoo Shrike, Yellow-billed Duck, Tawny Eagle, Lead-colored, Swamp Flycatcher, Coqui Francolin, Bare-faced Go away Bird, Papyrus Gonolek, Southern Ground Hornbill, African Hawk Eagle, Grey Kestrel, Yellow-Billed Oxpecker, Speckled Pigeon, Grassland Pipit, Brown-chested Plover, Lilac-breasted Roller, Black-throated Seed-eater, White-crested helmet Shrike, Greater blue-eared, Wattled Starling, Common Stonechat, Saddle-billed Stork, Shoebill Stork, Marico Sunbird, Red-rumped Swallow, African black Swift, White-winged black Tit, Northern brown throated Weaver, Emerald-spotted Wood Dove, Green Wood Hoopoe, Nubian Woodpecker.
DAY 03, DAY 04 and DAY 05
Today we will make our way to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (6 hrs) at Buhoma for a three night stay. Although Bwindi is only 321 sq. kms ranging in altitude from 1160 to 2650 metres above sea level, it is home to 330+ species of birds including a number of the Albertine Rift endemics.

We stay in Ishasha for one day.
Birds to be seen would include:
White-headed Barbet, Black-and-white Cuckoo , African Finfoot, Pel’s Fishing Owl, African Hobby, Grey Kestrel, Pearl-spotted Owlet , African olive Pigeon, Shoebill Stork and Narina Trogon.
DAY 07 & 08
We head to the Mweya Peninsula. Game drives and Kazinga Channel boat excursion.
On the boat excursion we have opportunity to observe:
Grey-headed Gull, Goliath Heron, Squacco Heron, Glossy Ibis, Sacred Ibis, Spur-winged Lapwing, Plain Martin, Great White Pelican, Pink-backed Pelican, Kittlitz’s Plover, Three-banded Plover, Collared Pratincole, African Skimmer, Black-winged Stilt , Yellow-billed Stork, Gull-billed Tern, Whiskered Tern, White-winged Tern, Water Thick-Knee, African Wattled
On game drives we should expect to see:

We visit the Kibale Forest National Park.
